Welcome to Out and About in Stratford-upon-Avon. This delightful Market Town was the birthplace of William Shakespeare and is one of the world’s most famous tourist centres. Stratford-upon-Avon is best explored on foot and the main Shakespearian centres of interest can be seen in a gentle walk of a couple of hours, although for a more in depth experience a couple of days can be devoted quite happily to the task and don't forget to see at least one of the regular performances by The Royal Shakespeare Company

Many shops and hotels in Stratford-upon-Avon have been renovated in the classic half-timbered Tudor Style with Black Beams crossing Whitewashed Walls. Historic buildings belonging to the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust have been carefully restored to their original condition and setup as they would have been in Shakespeare’s day.
